2003 Denver Election for Auditor

Landri Taylor is shaking things up in the Auditor's race, accusing Ed Thomas of operating as a loan shark according to the Rocky Mountain News. From the article, "Taylor acknowledged that the check-cashing firms are a legal business. But he questioned the morality of owning one." Here's the Denver Post coverage. 2003 Denver Election for City Council At-large

A crowded race (7 candidates) and few issues to help them break out of the pack characterizes the run for City Council At-large according to the Rocky Mountain News. The story has short bios of each of the candidates.

2003 Denver Mayoral Election

The Rocky Mountain News is offering more analysis of their mayoral poll from last week. From the Rocky, "But even amid those various concerns, 56 percent of those polled said the city was headed in the right direction. By comparison, 32 percent said the city was on the wrong track."

The Denver Post is running an article on the economic environment that the next Denver Mayor will inherit. From the Post, "The next mayor of Denver will inherit a struggling economy that for two years has failed to create jobs, squeezed shopping budgets, attracted fewer visitors and pushed some longtime residents out of their homes."
