Christian Science Monitor Follies
The Christian Science Monitor has an article on the work of the Christian Peacemaker Teams in Hebron in the West Bank. Described as protecting Palestinians they patrol the divided city, home of the Tomb of the Patriarchs, second holiest Jewish religious site. While the article states that the activists say they are not against Israel, a check of their literature reveals the opposite. From their reading list:
Koestler, Arthur. The Thirteenth Tribe. New York: Random House, 1976. I checked this out because Ghareeb in his book cited it as "proof" that Ashkenazi Jews have no inherent right to Palestine. Koestler makes a good case linguistically, demographically, and historically that the bulk of the Jews of Eastern Europe were descended from the Khazars a people in the Caucasus region that converted to Judaism in the 7th-8th centuries.
Step one in eliminating a people is to dispute their existence.
