CTV News has a story on the Figure Skating Judging system being completely replaced, by more judges focusing on the technical aspects of the routines and eliminating the 6.0 scoring system. Meanwhile the French judge has retracted her claim that she had participated in vote swapping.

Sears Canada is discontinuing the Eaton’s name in favour of their own. Seven stores are affected; two of which are in malls where a Sears is already operating, thus possibly leading to closures. No word on how this affects the names of several malls but the Toronto Sear’s Centre just doesn’t cut it.

The Weekly Standard examines how American and other companies have helped build the Internet in China and provided the Communist Government with the tools to censor what their people see on it. Companies include Cisco providing hardware filters and Yahoo providing a government friendly site.

The quote about capitalists selling the rope that will be used to hang them comes to mind.
