The CBC Radio Show As It Happens carried an interview with Amr Moussa, Secretary General of the Arab League. While the interviewer tried several times to pin down the Secretary general on the issue of suicide bombers it was unfortunate that she did not ask him about the issue of refugees, Jerusalem and what exactly he means by "innocent civilians" . For example, The New York Times reported that Syria President Assad suggested that all Israelis were fair targets. "The issue here is not an issue of who is civilian and who is military," he said. "In the case of Israel everyone is armed."

In a remarkably sane article for The Guardian, the authors, Hussein Agha and Robert Malley note that the issue of Palestinian refugees is the key stumblig block to any peace deal. They suggest that the Palestinians accept a resettlement in the general area of were they fled in 1948, that is the West Bank.
An interesting point is that from a North American perspective moving from Israel to the West Bank is in distance terms such a small step that often people would not even consider you to have moved at all.
