About FlashBlog (and me)
I've been meaning to put this up for ages - a bit of background and a small historical rant. If you've got any more questions, put them in the comments please ;)

Certified Flash MX Designer Exam
Macromedia have launched a new MX certification. I'm still not sure of the value of this - I've never seen a job that required it (and wouldn't have taken much notice of it when I was hiring myself) but it could become more important as Flash moves further into the corporate area - suits always like a nice qualification ;) It can't do any harm to add it to your CV and at $150 it's not like your shelling out for a MSCE or anything.

Were-Here want your Tutorials!
We've all been busy experimenting with Flash MX, and now it's time to share the info. Write a tutorial and submit it to Were-Here for the chance to win some brand spanking new Flash books. All tutorials welcome, whether it's a newbie guide or an esoteric AS hack, they want to hear from you.

www.flashblog.net
You can now reach this site using the above address - if your linking to the site it would be good if you can change the link to point to the domain name :) It's not ideal (the redirection puts the site in a frameset to keep the URL) but I'll probably be moving off the Userland hosting at some point to set up some back-end systems.

Editing Actionscript in Dreamweaver MX
I've only had a quick look at the new Dreamweaver but it looks very impressive - far more of an IDE than previous version. The great thing for Flash coders is that it is Actionscript aware - open an AS file and you get code highlighting and hinting. Waldo Smeets has already produced an extension that installs the Actionscript dictionary in you DW enviroment and there's sure to be more Flash/Dreamweaver development in the pipeline.

The Register on Macromedia MX
An overview of the whole MX product line and the strategy behind it. The Register is a great site, tech news with a bit of bite rather than a bunch of press releases strung together - I much prefer it to CNet etc.
