OT: Attack of the Clones  - George delivers the goods
Had a great morning here in London seeing AotC. Went to the Leicester Square Odeon and was pleased to find it was a digital projection (believe me, you will notice the difference even if your not an AV geek.) Not only that but Anthony Daniels (C3PO) was up on stage introducing it! Then the lights went down, the 20 Century Fox music came on and we were off.

I can safely say fans will be loving this infinitely more than EpI, it's got plenty of awesome set pieces and more importantly loads of great 'Star Wars moments.' There are lots of technical advances, the CG characters are more solid and the effects just keep getting better and better, but the real driving force is the plot. Looking back on it, the real problem with EpI was that nothing really happened - this is not a problem in EpII! It really delivers some of the things you've been itching to see since you watched the original trilogy. On a personal note, I'm so glad Lucas didn't do the 'ever increasing number of simultaneous endings' thing - Star Wars had one, Empire had two, Jedi three and Phantom had 4! This time there is one thing going on at the end, and it's a good one (that's all your really need :)The real deciding factor for me was coming out of the cinema and having that great feeling of breathlessness that you get after seeing a good movie - it takes me back to seeing the first 3 as a kid and that can only be a good thing.

P.S. Yoda is hereby declared the coolest person ever - he really brings the whole film together and I challenge you not to grin like a maniac when he turns up at the end...
