Macromedia v. Adobe (Round 2) Adobe get $2.82 million then almost immediately Macromedia get $4.91 million back(which could, according to this article, triple to $14.7 million.) Adobe messed up here, it's obvious to anybody who uses both companies products that this whole episode is just a strategic manoeuvre on Adobes part, rather than an actual patent infringement case. Final outcome? Lawyers declared winners (as usual) when an out of court settlement makes it like nothing ever happened...
