MX Products Shipping
They're here! The entire MX product family (Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks and Coldfusion) is now shipping - good pricing on the upgrade if you own a copy of Flash MX

Featured Community Site : Ultrashock
A nice idea from Macromedia highlighting some of the great Flash community sites out there. In the first in the series, Mike Chambers gives some well deserved exposure to Ultrashock, definitely one of the highlights of the community. [via jdb cyberspace]

OT: Netcaptor
I've been running a few days and it's a very useful app, especially for bloggers. Basically it's a souped up version of IE (it just instantiates a copy of the IE ActiveX control, so all your plug-ins etc. act as normal). It allows you to open sets of pages and have them tabbed along the bottom of the browser window - very useful for site checks in the morning. It also has a load of other features like de-activating pop-ups (if you want it to), getting info on the page, changing your security settings etc. etc. If you spend most of your time inside a browser this is well worth a look.

Flashguru Updates
Some more of the good stuff from flashguru - info on the undocumented MMSave and some notes about Movie and Image Preloader Woes in Flash MX.

Flash RSS Parser
Samuel Wan has posted up one of the first fruits of his Flash front end for Moveable Type project. Elegantly coded as usual, this RSS component is well worth a look (It's a lot better than the clunky way I was doing it, thanks Sam!)
