"What kind of peace do I mean? What kind of peace do we seek? Not a Pax Americana enforced on the world by American weapons of war. Not the peace of the grave or the security of the slave. I am talking about genuine peace, the kind of peace that makes life on earth worth living, the kind that enables men and nations to grow and to hope and to build a better life for their children - not merely peace for Americans but peace for all men and women - not merely peace in our time but peace for all time." -- JFK

Lest I seem to tolerate terrorism, let me be clear: DON'T KILL [theonion.com].

As far as I can tell, Israel couldn't hold out three months if the Palestinians switched to non-violence (not even rock-throwing children). Palestinians would have a country.

Now, there are certainly groups who don't want that, and would continue to use terrorism (state-sponsored and not) to prevent it.

Brave, free people who want peace are strong enough to stop terrorists. Fascist, hate-mongering militarists on both sides use the other side's terrorism to justify more terrorism. Sharon and Hamas need each other like Bush and Bin Laden need each other.
