licentious radio

CSS tip: Make your blog easier to read! The single best thing you can do with stylesheets is to add a little extra space between your lines of text.
The simplest approach: put a
with the style information around the content part of your template. Radio inserts the body of the page at the <%bodytext%> macro. So adding this to your Radio template (Click on Preferences, then Main template) would look something like:

<%bodytext%>

What number should you use for the line-height? 1.5 is good for rather long lines. 1.2 is good for rather short lines.
This works in new browsers that support stylesheets. Browsers that don't know about stylesheets will just ignore it. Stylesheets are something of a problem for Netscape 4, but line-height works pretty well (as long as you use a relative measure like '1.5').

Ouch! The priest is reading to the Sunday School class, and a little boy asks: "After Jesus loved the little children, did he have to go to jail?" Ouch, ouch, ouch. (This was in a political cartoon somewhere.)
The first question: how long do you think this has been going on? Are we supposed to think this is new to the last century? Or have priests been sexually assaulting children for more than a thousand years?
The second question: are we supposed to believe that the church bureaucracy didn't know this was going on? Ha, ha, ha.
You come to the picture of the Catholic Church as a safe haven for rapists. Personally, I'd rather not think that. But they had better do better than: "I'm shocked. Shocked... to find gambling going on...."

Yeah, and congratulations on passing campaign finance reform. It's sort of anticlimactic when you think about it. Even "over my dead body" McConnell turns out to have been fibbing. (Not that we'd *really* want him to kill himself.)
Problems of course is that they fast-track it to the corrupt Republican cronies formerly known as the supreme court. Can you say 5-4? And Ted Olsen will defend the law. Ha, ha, ha.

Afghanistan littered with 14,000 unexploded bomblets, says UN [guardian.co.uk]. Each cluster bomb has 100 "bomblets". 10% of bomblets don't explode. More than a thousand cluster bombs were dropped. Civilians are going to die from these unexploded bomblets, just as if they were mines.
