"What kind of peace do I mean? What kind of peace do we seek? Not a Pax Americana enforced on the world by American weapons of war. Not the peace of the grave or the security of the slave. I am talking about genuine peace, the kind of peace that makes life on earth worth living, the kind that enables men and nations to grow and to hope and to build a better life for their children - not merely peace for Americans but peace for all men and women - not merely peace in our time but peace for all time." -- JFK

George W. Bush's September 11 speech: "My fellow Americans, I come to you today -- on this day of remembrance -- to focus your attention on the war on Iraq. We must not squander this opportunity to use patriotic fervor to silence any voices of dissent."

[6:29:57 PM]
Al Gore should spend a lot of time in Florida this fall. A lot of time. The Florida governor's race should be a referendum on voter fraud, government and police corruption, and whether blacks should be allowed to vote.

[10:04:53 AM]
The Bushlettes can crawfish all they want, but one thing about September 11 is perfectly clear: everyone knew there was a threat of using hijacked airliners to crash into buildings, and the Bushlettes didn't increase the readiness of our air defenses.

A competent person would get these reports and say, "do we have fighters in place, ready to handle this? Will they get the message in time?"

All the Bushlettes did was cover up their incompetence after 3,000 people died.
