"What kind of peace do I mean? What kind of peace do we seek? Not a Pax Americana enforced on the world by American weapons of war. Not the peace of the grave or the security of the slave. I am talking about genuine peace, the kind of peace that makes life on earth worth living, the kind that enables men and nations to grow and to hope and to build a better life for their children - not merely peace for Americans but peace for all men and women - not merely peace in our time but peace for all time." -- JFK

Hmm. Chevron had a tax-evasion scam going with Indonesia. They stole over $3 billion from U. S. taxpayers. The U.S. government settled for collecting $600 million, but -- oops -- left the documents in public view. Anybody can read the extent of the crime. Chevron, of course, thinks we shouldn't pay any attention, because they didn't do anything wrong, and settled the case a long time ago, anyway. Condi Rice has her own nice chunk of that $3 billion theft. Plus they named a ship after her. Just let us believe she wasn't involved in the deal, please! We'd like to believe that even the Bush administration has a few people who aren't crooks.
