"What kind of peace do I mean? What kind of peace do we seek? Not a Pax Americana enforced on the world by American weapons of war. Not the peace of the grave or the security of the slave. I am talking about genuine peace, the kind of peace that makes life on earth worth living, the kind that enables men and nations to grow and to hope and to build a better life for their children - not merely peace for Americans but peace for all men and women - not merely peace in our time but peace for all time." -- JFK

As the Washington Post points out, the devil is not in the details of the report on intelligence failures. You can speculate and twitter and rationalize about any specific detail.

The devil is in the lack of focus at the highest levels. Clinton's team was clearly on the ball. The FBI under Freeh, though, was obviously more interested in Clinton's zipper than in Al Qaeda. The Bush team immediately dropped the ball on Al Qaeda.

The evidence that emerges is that individuals -- even in the FBI -- were dedicated to the safety of the American people, but that the political masters worked effectively to stifle the investigations. This is the shameful story. These are the people who should be removed from government immediately.

Vicious terrorist detractors have misinterpreted Our Beloved Leader yet again. Sure there's a saying "fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me". Everybody knows that. But Our Beloved Leader is not a hobgoblin of small minds. Our Beloved Leader thinks forward and creates *new* old Texas sayings.

Rogue enemy combatants who reject "fool me once... don't be fooled again" are the same sort of Liberals out to defend the madman, Saddam. Our Beloved Leader is our one true defense against these Evil-Doers in Congress.

All true Americans will show their support by adopting Our Beloved Leader's new old saying. Remember: you have the right to remain silent, but your silence will be used against you in the secret military tribunal. There is time enough for silence in solitary confinement.
