Working on Elision Rendering
I'm currently trying to bring the outlinerish capability of elision - Dictionary.com needs a new entry for that term btw - into HTML rendering with opmlRender.
I intend to use a little Javascript to hide or reveal sub-nodes of the outline text when clicking on a small handle at the left of each paragraph. It makes for good javascript and W3C DOM level 1 training.
The sites and sources I'm studying now are:
aaronLand: Aaron's got HTML elision working for the meta information in his posts.
diveintomark: take a look at Mark's weblog outline style.
Mark Paschal's Kit: The toolkit's Edit outline component is very close to what I need.
Joshua Allen's OPML and XSLT: His opml.js script is a great tutorial.
Hopefully, with all the javascript knowledge I'm guzzling, I'll soon be able to fix my radioScan/Mozilla compatibility problem as well :-)
