I head back to Anchorage tomorrow - which means I'm staying up 'till Midnight again so I can call Northwest Airlines in an attempt to upgrade to first class. Well worth the effort! Of course, tonight of all nights is also the switch to Daylight Savings Time. I HATE Daylight Savings Time. I wish we would get rid of it - it has absolutely no value in Alaska in the summer. It just means that it gets sort of dark at Midnight instead of getting sort of dark at 11:00 PM. 7:15:16 PM    comment []

Rock Chalk Jayhawk The BIG deal here in Kansas today is the Kansas-Marquette semifinal basketball game. All over town, everyone is sporting Jayhawk colors, flags, hats, sweatshirts, etc. I'm sure Seth will be rooting loudly for Kansas this evening! UPDATE: The folks here in Winfield are ecstatic over KU's big win. I was at a Southwestern College banquet this evening. One of the men at our table would sneak out periodically during dinner to get the latest score. Needless to say, we had a very happy table. 1:56:01 PM    comment []
