Ugh.
I seem to have come down with an as-yet unidentified virus whose initial calling card is a nasty, burning rash followed by scuddy body aches and malaise (but fortunately at this point, no fever). My arms, neck, and upper back are on fire. The rash started late this morning and has been advancing at a steady clip.
I went to my allergy clinic's nurse practioner this afternoon. Normally, I wait at least a day before running off to the doc. But, on Saturday, the Ski Boy and I wing our way to the Big Apple for five days and then on to Florida for another four days. I simply cannot be sick.
Plus, today my boss decided that he wants me to fill in for him at the Cable Labs Bandwidth Management summit in Atlanta on Tuesday of next week. I'll fly down from New York, give Richard's presentation on GCI's successful implementation of bandwidth tiering, attempt to field questions from Cable MSO poo-bahs and then jet back to New York. As Eddy Izzard would say, I'll be quite the executive Slat Rat.
To reiterate, I simply cannot be sick. So while, Peter, Alix, and Cheri are off enjoying STOMP, I'm at home trying to stomp some serious viral butt.
