This Memorial Day entry is in tribute to my Grandfather Leland Kesler, and my two Uncles Leland Kesler Jr. and Richard Kesler.
My Grandfather was a First Lieutenant in the Army Air Corps in World War I - I have the eight foot and very heavy, wooden prop from his Jenny aeroplane.
My Uncle Leland was a Lance Corporal in the Marine Corps in World War II. He died on a beach landing in the South Pacific and is buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (The Punch Bowl) in Hawaii.
My Uncle Richard was a Private in the Marine Corps in World War II and was wounded in action.
