It was a scorcher today: 58 degrees F. One degree shy of the record 59 degrees F set in 1931. And the forecast is for continued sun. So we all know what that means! The ice will be going out long before May 8th - the ice-out date predicted by the Ski Boy.

An open lead on the west bank. Check out the two mallards at the bottom of the picture. Actually, you can't really tell they're mallards, let alone ducks.
