We're in the middle of yet another stretch of fantastic weather. Warm and sunny. Highly unusual for August. Usually by now, the rain starts as the days become shorter.
Clemmie and I took a little Coastal Trail walk this evening. I've had my eye on this patch of fireweed for the past month. I waited a little too long to take a picture - the flowers were much more full and vibrant a few weeks ago - but it was also raining two weeks ago.

The Alaska Department of Fish and Game erected this Moose Behavior Info-Sign on the Coastal Trail at the Southwest end of Westchester Lagoon. It's been up for a couple of months and is extremely popular. Clem and I walk by it at least twice a day and without fail, someone is always closely reading the sign.
It is particularly popular with tourists. They always look a little spooked after the sign has clued them in on the ends and outs of an angry moose.
For those not in the know, the moose on the left is a very angry moose and serious trouble is imminent.
