Yesterday was Mary's maiden geocaching voyage! And we had a great time. We did two caches, Pins and Buttons and Swamp Cache.
Pins and Buttons was a microcache very cleverly suspended inside a chain link fence post. Swamp Cache was deep in the woods of Earthquake Park. Just a fabulous Fall setting. Here are the pics:
Here's Mary with her first ever geocache: the Pins and Button microcache (the little blue thing she's holding in her right hand. Definitely a proud geocacher!
Here's Mary and our new friend, Jack the dog at the Swamp Cache site. Jack was a very exuberant dog who was AWOL from his nearby home. We called the owner (the joy of cell phones), he came and retrieved Jack, the Geocaching Black Lab.
Oh - and note the beautiful forest floor - absolutely carpeted with golden leaves.
