Pooh watched tonight's Red Sox-Yankees game from a bar in Minneapolis. Starting with the 8th inning, he called Peter at every half inning. He had apoplexy in the 12th (or was it the 11th?) when Francona did not bring in Pokey Reese to run for Bellhorn. Pooh was the only BoSox fan at the bar. And he stood up to all those Yankee fans!!!!

Tonight's two league championship games showed, in spades, why baseball rocks. There was so much painful drawn out, one-on-one drama - you just do not get that in any other sport. What a blast!

Loaiza just walked Manny and now Ortiz is up.
Come on Papi!!!!!!!!!!
And oh, by the way, the St. Louis-Houston game is in the top of the 8th and is scoreless. A fabulous pitcher's duel - each team has just one hit.

As I blog, it's the bottom of the 13th, the score is tied 4-4. Both the Yankees and the Red Sox have had countless scoring opportunities. But neither team has been able to come through.
I'm such a coward, that I'm hiding at home - Peter is IM'ing me game updates. I could not actually watch this thing on television.
I have to say that Francona has made some, what I would consider to be, huge managerial blunders. I am not impressed.
Neither team has any pitching left. This is an unbelievable game.
