I have finally redone my resume and now it's online [here]. I reserve little hope that someone will find it and give me a job/interview, but I might as well make it available, just in case.

Flying a Foil Kite in CancunWhile in Cancun, I bought a Mexican made foil kite. In the U.S., I think we often have the impression that things made in Mexico are of a lower quality than things made in the U.S. This may be partially due to the type of things that are often imported from Mexico.

The Boomer Clase 50, made by kite&Jose G-Ache, does not fit this stereotype. The Clase 50 is well constructed with nylon used for everything from straps to string to fabric. It flys well too, although it lacks the fiberglass stiffening rod that I have seen in some U.S. made kites. Without the stiffening rod the foil tends to collapse in certain low wind situations. Still, it flies very well and is an especially good foil kite for the beginner, since it is only about 6' in length and doesn't have enough lift to pull the user off the ground.

I enjoyed many hours with this kite in the brisk ocean winds on the beaches of Cancun. Click here to see the Boomer Clase 50 in action.
