Every once in a while you will hear about something and have an "a-ha" moment. This happened to me when I heard that ESPN.com will be putting short video clips directly in their website [here].

For several years, a number of sites have offered video clips — typically news segments, sports highlights or music videos. But these clips appear in a separate media player window on the computer screen, creating an experience that is apart from the main body of the site.

Of course! It was only a matter of time before the number of broadband users reached the critical mass necesary for this type of service to become viable. Apparently, ESPN.com thinks the time is now.

If you've seen the movie Harry Potter, you may remember the teachers at Hogwarts reading newspapers that had moving pictures instead of the static images we are accustomed to in real newspapers. This is the basic idea that ESPN.com is implementing. It is only a matter of time before this becomes more common place. Next thing you know, I'll be adding video clips into my weblog.

Andrea and Christopher in Brazil (2000)Andrea and I went to Rio di Janeiro, Brazil for New Years 2000. We had a very fun time.

Here we are on a little excursion to some islands. I can't remember the name of the islands now. We went on this nice little wooden boat, stopping here and there. It rained most of the time, but it wasn't too cold, so it was still a lot of fun.
