Here's a cartoon about being unemployed that a friend of mine sent to me a few months ago [here]. It's a good pick-me-up for the doldrums of unemployment.

Did Ann get a little tipsy?As promised, I have put together more photos from Andrea and my wedding. The photos in this collection are from a number of different sources. A couple were taken by our photographer Frank, others were taken by our friend Melanie Barrett and the rest were taken by friends and family on the disposable cameras that we provided at the reception.

Washington's unemployement rate is highest in the nation [Seattle Times].

In figures released yesterday, the state's September jobless rate hit 7.4 percent, up two-tenths of a percent from the month before.

To add to the woes here in the Seattle area, Boeing and Weyerhauser have each announced more job cuts. The article goes on to say that they are predicting that we may reach the bottom within the next two months, but haven't they been saying that for about a year now?

I saw this on Slashdot, someone has created a small Lego robot that works like Dean Kamen's Segway [here].
