Looking over the previous 4 posts - today is definitely Google day! For more Google info, a great Google blog is http://google.blogspace.com. Does anyone not love this company?

Google Sets - wow! Play around with this for a second. I tried entering protocols (http, smtp, ftp) and then cities (Sydney, Melbourne etc). It worked perfectly every time. Google has some bright cookies.

The Google Labs Sets demo is an experimental system that allows a user to automatically create sets of items from a few examples. The Google Labs Sets demo is available on labs.google.com, Google's technology playground. For more information, please see http://labs.google.com.

GameCube is now just $USD 149. Still glad I bought an XBox though, the Cube isn't networkable. Just found XBoxGW today - Halo over Bigpond!

Borland releases JBuilder for skinflints. Cutdown, cheap.

Scotts Valley, California-based Borland is expected to launch a version of its enterprise suite lacking many high-end features, called JBuilder SE, for departmental developers and those working in code.

I'll take $399 for IDEA over JBuilder any day. Sometimes I fail to see how Borland can even approach Java developers with a $4999 price tag. If you're going to buy tools - buy good ones, not expensive ones - hell JIRA is only $800! [The Register]

Apple Updates iBook "After the PowerBook was updated with a faster processor at the end of April, the iBook was sure to follow. Apple announced today that the popular iBook line has been updated, upping it to a 700MHz G3"

I love my iBook - it is one of the best technology purchases I ever made. And one of the best portable Java dev stations ever created! As Rick says, OSX is really the Java developer's OS. [Slashdot]

The Lychee Martini as only Walsh can describe it - "The striking purity of straight vodka, cut with the satin sweetness of the lychee is a potent combination, which both disguises the onset of rapid intoxication, and also happily assist one along the pursuit of pleasure."
