The exposure of of a database containing hundreds of records with sensitive information on children in upstate New York is drawing a lot of attention in the media. Apparently, the data was available online for weeks before MSNBC notified authorities with the New York Office of Children and Family Services. (By the way, I continue to be unimpressed with New York's homepage, its focus on Gov. Pataki with little emphasis on services)

This morning, Governor Walker's task force to review the state's participation in MATRIX is holding its first meeting. In creating the task force, Gov. Walker stated, "My primary concern is the protection of personal privacy."
