Privacy issues will continue to clash with big items on the egov agenda like interoperability and personalization.  Information Week takes note of the issue in a short article on the controversies surrounding Matrix.  Data sharing is critical to the future of eGov and more particularly "iGov" (integrated eGov).  While many eGov proponents are concerned about removing silos and promoting integration and efficiency (in Monday's post, I mentioned thatGAO is advocating moving from stovepipes to matrixes), some privacy advocates find solace in silos.  The fact is that we live in a networked world where information is valued.  A few recent headlines:
