I have to plug Steve Cisler's excellent blog. Steve has been focused on community technology projects (among other things) for many years and is one of the real authorities on the subject.

Recently he noted the Tech Museum Awards, which seem to have a useful focus.

Reading his page and others like it on a regular basis causes me to wonder about what I am doing and what I should be doing if I consider myself to be a moral being. It is very easy to decouple from the real problems of the world.
