The Pew Internet and American Life project has a new report on the digital divide - who in America is unconnected and why. This is very interesting as most studies indicate the Internet user population in the US stopped growing about a year ago.

In addition to people who can't afford access and the handicapped, the Pew folks identify some interesting groups - net dropouts, net evaders (non-users who live in wired homes) and intermittent users.

Very interesting reading.
