Many OS X users are unaware of the pdf options available to them. It turns out that there are also poorly documented features.

A bit of very random surfing turned up CITC Products - a supplier of special effects hardware and supplies.

Bubbles, fog, bio degradable snow ..., bu my favorite has to be the T-Launcher. Why would someone want to shoot tshirts from a canon and why would they pay $1400 for a machine?

Speaking of war and terrorism our Swiss friends have made a combination watch/radiation detector.

No doubt someone from CERN with too much time on their hands...

Here is something I haven't seen in a few decades - a beginner's model rocket motor kit. It isn't very sophisticated, but a teenager might learn something.

In the late 50s a craze of amateur rocketry swept the country (at least for the sort of kids that ended up at MIT). More than a few were injured or killed in bad accidents that usually involved mixing fuel and making motors.

Some of you play with interfaces between computers and things that move. In looking for some resources this morning I came across a basic, but perhaps useful, primer on stepper motors
