.NET Alerts

Recent weblog postings from Jeroen and Alexis mentioned .NET Alerts. This is an interesting .NET mechanism that is *one* answer to unwanted SPAM - you subscribe to what you want, when you want it and where you want it delivered. This is worth checking out - I subscribe to free alerts from NASDAQ (soon Groove stocks), MSNBC News and there are more...   Alexis makes an insightful comment about .NET Alerts notifications working with Groove. Moreover, the Groove website is integrated with MS Passport, which is prerequisite for .NET Alerts. As a developer, .NET Alerts is a very useful feature to add to a website. I have commenced on testing SQL2K Notifications on my server and will soon complement it with .NET Alerts.
