*Lex Loci infinitum There is yet another court case regarding cyberspace jurisidiction - this one is between Connecticut and Virginia. A Federal court has ruled in this case that a Virginian cannot exercise the jurisdiction against two Connecticut newspapers in a case of libel. I had posted two weblogs regarding this topic recently - the Australian case and back in October concluded it with a 'what-if' for Groove spaces. Determining jurisidiction is very crucial - it forms the basis of all court cases. With the advent of increasing net transactions (inclusive of Web services), it is something to seriously consider for commerical purposes. *Law of the place 11:08:51 AM ![]() |
