AmericaBlog: "Al Gore hits back at Attorney General Gonzales today, saying that Gonzales' latest criticism of Gore's speech yesterday proves why an independent counsel is necessary to investigate the Bush Administration's spying on thousands, if not millions, of innocent Americans in violation of the law."

This again proves that the appointment of right-wing extremists (like Gonzalez and Alito) in the judiciary is very bad for the country. First, they don't know the law, and second, they have no intention of abiding by the law or enforcing the law.

Bush looks upon the European NATO countries as his vassals and he has a bad influence on law and order all over the world.
EUObserver: "The EU and its member states have been strongly criticised for their human rights policy record by leading NGO Human Rights Watch, saying the bloc has courted grave abusers such as Russia and China while 'utterly failing' to adress US practices in the war on terror."

Now the US is trying to get NATO more involved in fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan. For one thing, Bush's views and practice of torture and his plans to move the Guantanamo prisoners to Afghanistan, clash with everything NATO countries have upheld until now.
Expatica: "The commander-in-chief of the Dutch Armed Forces has suggested the performance of the US military has had little or no effect in the southern Afghan province of Uruzgan.
General Berlijn noted it was very important the reconstruction of the ISAF mission, which Nato will command, and the US-led hunt for the Taliban, Operation Enduring Freedom (OF), do not conflict each other."

Reconstruction and fighting are strange bedfellows. It hasn't worked in Iraq and it won't work in Afghanistan.

Reuters: "A Taliban commander said on Tuesday hundreds of his guerrillas were ready to launch suicide attacks across Afghanistan to drive out foreign forces."

Guardian: "Thousands of British troops will be exposed to fresh dangers, including a growing threat from suicide bombers, when they are deployed in southern Afghanistan over the coming months, Ministry of Defence officials said yesterday."

If the US wants NATO to get more involved in this war, let Bush pay for it. After all, warfare is for the benefit of mostly American corporations. Democracy and warfare have been privatised and the market economy reigns. The war industry is booming. Let them pay for their own wars.
The Dutch troops would be tempted enormously. I mean, Afghanistan is the largest exporter of cocaine. So, earning a bit of money on the side... After all, the Dutch government would need money to finance the whole operation and replace the helicopters that would be destroyed.

Well, the whole operation stinks mightily. Better keep our hands off this American war business.

Bush is supposed to protect all Americans and provide them with the security to enable them to safely lead their lives. Forget about it. The Bush administration only protects the rich and the criminal.
Instead of enforcing law Bush is thwarting the proper execution of law and justice by retaliating against whistleblowers from inside the administration. He perverts every law.
His environmental policies are a scam. Health care and social security are only to benefit the wealthy insurance corporations. Why does Bush hate Americans?

SANA: "The witness Ibrahim Michel Jarjoura said he was forced to offer a false and fabricated testimony against Syria at the international investigation committee into the assassination of former Lebanese Premier Rafik al-Hariri because he was under threats and pressures to do so."

How do you destabilise a country and incite revolution? The CIA has a long history of lies and murder. Their latest success was in Lebanon and the Ukraine.
