Today the sun is shining brightly and spring is in the air.
I hate to be the messenger of bad news. However, there is some work that needs to be done to keep this world a happy place. There are pressing matters to consider.
In Italy the election today is a battle between Berlusconi and Romano Prodi. One is a self-indulgent media tycoon with affinity for Mussolini and the Mob, and Prodi is a neocon Eurocrat, only in name leftist. There is not much choice in this case.
The same situation exists in the US. What's the difference between the Democrats and the Republicans? Of course, the GOP is a party of thugs, liars and cheats. But the Democrats are as belligerent as the neocons.
Nevertheless, one has to choose the lesser evil. What the killer Bees, Bush, Blair, Berlusconi, Balkenende have in mind is far less attractive than their alternatives. And it's not only their anti-social behaviour that is deeply worrying.
Seymour Hersh in the New Yorker: "The Bush Administration, while publicly advocating diplomacy in order to stop Iran from pursuing a nuclear weapon, has increased clandestine activities inside Iran and intensified planning for a possible major air attack. Current and former American military and intelligence officials said that Air Force planning groups are drawing up lists of targets, and teams of American combat troops have been ordered into Iran, under cover, to collect targeting data and to establish contact with anti-government ethnic-minority groups. The officials say that President Bush is determined to deny the Iranian regime the opportunity to begin a pilot program, planned for this spring, to enrich uranium.
One of the military's initial option plans, as presented to the White House by the Pentagon this winter, calls for the use of a bunker-buster tactical nuclear weapon, such as the B61-11, against underground nuclear sites."
CommitteeToBridgeTheGap: "The Department of Homeland Security has issued new guidance that would allow the government to do no cleanup of radioactive contamination after detonation of a radiological weapon (a so-called 'dirty bomb') and instead let people move back in and be exposed to doses as high as the equivalent of 50,000 chest X-rays. By the radiation risk estimates of the National Academy of Sciences, a third of the people so exposed would get cancer from the radiation."
The use of DU ammunition in wars in Yugoslavia, Afghanistan and Iraq, has contaminated our world over existing borders. Now the madman in the White House has plans that would contaminate our planet even more.
NewsWithViews: "Breathing radioactive particulate matter has long been known to cause lung cancer. Miners working in uranium mines and other types of mining where radioactivity is an occupational hazard have a higher incidence of lung cancer. This danger from airborne radioactive iodine is greater than that found from cigarette smoking. The radioactive iodine particles go directly to DNA which is 'trashed'. There are no ways the human body can rid itself of the radioactive particles so the health damage is permanent. This results in severe health problems particularly malignancies which have no effective therapies.
Children in Iraq are dying in epidemic numbers from malignancies. In most nations cancer in children is uncommon. This makes depleted uranium shells and bombs an ideal vehicle to diminish the world population.
Because prevailing winds have carried radioiodine dust to Europe and probably the U.S. it appears that at least half the persons on planet earth are currently breathing radioiodine. The topic of depleted uranium bombs and shells will not be discussed in the media because the world's media is controlled by the New World Order elitists."
Bush is heading for Armageddon and he doesn't even realise he is the force of Evil. It is time to stop the madman. A nuclear attack will make victims in Europe and the US as well. It is madness to try to prevent a possible nuclear attack by Iran (only existing in Bush's twisted mind as yet) by starting a nuclear war. This will only stimulate other countries to develop nuclear weapons as well to protect themselves from attacks by the US, which is what is actually happening; nuclear proliferation is going ahead full steam thanks to Bush. Now is the time to remove this rogue president.
