TorontoStar: "A week ago, it was the generals. Now it's the colonels and majors and captains. Moreover, these officers are in uniform and have none of the security from retribution of the generals who had all already retired.
Several thought their own generals were as much to blame as Rumsfeld, for having gone along silently with his bad planning.
The sense of malaise, though, is widespread."

NYTimes: "The revolt by retired generals who publicly criticized Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld has opened an extraordinary debate among younger officers, in military academies, in the armed services' staff colleges and even in command posts and mess halls in Iraq."

What they should realise is that American soldiers are part of the criminal system.

Scotsman: "A European Parliament probe into so called CIA torture flights said today it was clear the United States had kidnapped and illegally detained terror suspects on EU territory."

End the war in Iraq!

Borowitz always manages to hit the mark in the right spot, or to hit the Bush's eye where it stings most.
"One day after being named the new White House spokesman, former Fox News pundit Tony Snow announced that a deal merging Fox News and the Bush White House had been successfully completed.
'The merger between Fox News and the White House can be summed up in one word: synergy,' Mr. Snow said. 'The two entities have been working in lockstep for five years now and this merger is a formal acknowledgment of that fact.'"
