THE WITCH HUNT NYTimes: "The crackdown on leaks at the Central Intelligence Agency that led to the dismissal of a veteran intelligence officer last week included a highly unusual polygraph examination for the agency's independent watchdog, Inspector General John L. Helgerson, intelligence officials with knowledge of the investigation said Sunday." While there is a witch hunt going on for people who justly expose the illegal secret CIA 'detention' (read 'torture') camps, the Bush bitches are free to leak whatever they want. CommonDreams: "Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice leaked national defense information to a pro-Israel lobbyist in the same manner that landed a lower-level Pentagon official a 12-year prison sentence, the lobbyist's lawyer said Friday." 11:27:44 AM

THE BUSH CABAL MUST GO StanfordDaily: "Although President George W. Bush was scheduled to meet with fellows at the Hoover Institution on Friday, the presence of more than 1,000 protestors forced him to change his plans and meet with advisers and faculty members at the residence of former Secretary of State and Hoover Fellow George Shultz on the outskirts of the Stanford campus." A Republican who is not ashamed of the Bush regime can only be a criminal or fascist. The Los Angeles Times is calling for the dismissal of Rumsfeld and Cheney. LATimes: "The secretary should go not because he has been criticized by a group of retired generals but because he embodies the smugness and inability to acknowledge error that has characterized both the Iraq war and the wider war on terrorism. Rumsfeld has been the pinched public face of an administration that has cut legal and humanitarian corners in dealing with people - including U.S. citizens - suspected of involvement with terrorists. Throwing Cheney overboard would be an implicit repudiation of the excessively hawkish foreign policy with which the vice president, even more than Rumsfeld, has been associated." Bush himself should be removed before he has the chance to attack Iran. He has definite plans. SundayHerald: "Foreign Office lawyers have formally advised Jack Straw that it would be illegal under international law for Britain to support any US-led military action against Iran.
