Why are we paying taxes? So they can go and bomb more people?

42 Percent:
"That is the percentage of your federal income taxes that went to pay for past wars and the military in fiscal year 2005 (FY05), the year for which we are now filing our income tax returns."

A great part of the drug deals in the US are solicited by undercover officers and informants. In fact, they are actively ensnaring as much people as possible in the drug scene and then busting them. It's a business. Remember that many prisons in the US are privatized. The authorities are promoting crime for profit.
George W. Bush is an addict of war, he makes more victims than any other criminal.

Lots of real crimes and frauds are left unpunished.
MotherJones: "Over at the Sierra Club site, Marilyn Berlin Snell has a story about how corporations use bankruptcy to discharge their environmental obligations. In particular, she follows the story of Asarco, a massive copper conglomerate whose smelters were poisoning towns. After being found guilty in court and racking up $500 million to $1 billion in environmental liabilities, the company declared bankruptcy in 2005 - and the public was stuck with the bill for cleaning up the mess."

AlterNet: "With deep ties to the oil and gas industry, Bush and Cheney have unleashed a national energy plan that has begun to destroy hunting and fishing on millions of federal acres throughout the West, setting back effective wildlife management for decades to come."
