Jim's Pond - Exploring the Universe of Ideas
"Beware when the great God lets loose a thinker on this planet. Then all things are at risk. It is as when a conflagration has broken out in a great city, and no man knows what is safe, or where it will end." --Ralph Waldo Emerson

Why I like Days Off

This was a great day. I golfed with two of my brothers, Travis and Jeremy, and my Dad. We played the Homestead Golf Course in Midway, Utah. It is a bit more than an hours drive from Farmington. We arrived a few minutes past 9:00 AM. It was a sunny yet brisk 27 degrees. There was ice on the course. The ice lingered in the shadows until well past noon.

Low Point: No hot dog at the turn.

High point: 18 is a long par 4 with plenty of trouble. It was playing into a stiff breeze. I hit a four wood from 210 yards to within three feet.

Another low point: I missed the birdie put at 18.

It was good to get away with the golfing members of my family. I could do this every day........
