Jim's Pond - Exploring the Universe of Ideas
"Beware when the great God lets loose a thinker on this planet. Then all things are at risk. It is as when a conflagration has broken out in a great city, and no man knows what is safe, or where it will end." --Ralph Waldo Emerson

Distractions

Okay, time to confess.

I've been posting blogs every day.

I've even done a fair amount of writing.

And every day I've thought about publishing.

But I've been playing hooky.

It's a funny thing about burnout. You don't see it coming. Probably don't recognize what is going on while you're into it. But afterwards, it's pretty obvious.

This has been coming on for a while. Last week, making the Layer 3 decision, coming off of a week out of the office, losing two nights of sleep, it all caught up to me. I'm just thankful that I scheduled a few days off. I'm not sure that the burnout has passed. Today I'm having trouble getting my mind back into work mode.

Hopefully, and with any luck, I'm back..........
