Yes, we have a winner of the NF guitar... Anne Torrez won my Burguet guitar, which I will send on its way tomorrow. My sincere thanks to all of you who contributed to the International Red Cross and Amnesty International. I will report the exact amount of money that went to the two organizations this week. Thanks again!

Robert Fripp's Diary: Entry for Tuesday, 11. November 2003 A flash during the acknowledgements of audience & players: I left. The encores were curtailed in response & then another flash during Red. I no longer stand onstage when photography is underway, so left immediately again. What a pity. The audience were generous and (mostly) deserved better.
The widespread assumption that performers must accept (almost) any form of behaviour, however rude & intrusive, onstage and off, is not an assumption that I accept. While Fripp seems to take it a little far - I hear he performs behind a curtain - I understand what he is talking about. I wonder, however, whether by calling so much attention to Flash photography he doesn't trigger even more flashes?

Phil Manzanera of Roxy Music has been producing quite a few Spanish acts over the last few years and a 1994 album called Flamenco Rock by Cherokee is a cool mix of acoustic and electric guitars.
Phil Manzanera owns a recording studio in London and reports that he has recorded some music with Robert Wyatt and Brian Eno this Fall.

The idea was to build a monumental clock – the original inspiration was something that would tick once a year, bong once a century and the cuckoo would come out once a millennium. This would be some sort of large icon towards thinking about the long term. The reality is, that it would be some kind of excuse to think about things that people hadn’t thought about before. As you start designing this clock, you start thinking about who would wind this clock in 2,000 years, 5,000 years, 10,000 years. A little more about the Long Now, one my favorite current human endeavors...

If you've ever wanted to make a name for yourself, you're bound to take some inspiration from the stories of people who took things one step further and manufactured entire selves.
I imagine it would be a lot of work to invent an alphabet, just to pretend to be a cannibal prince from the exotic orient.....

Ah, just sit down in your favorite chair and let this lamp provide the perfect halo for your angelic person...especially good when you are planning something evil as it will keep up your halo no matter what you do.....

Hey Ottmar, I found out about this new software which completely blows my mind. It takes a regular wave file and adjusts the pitch, time, velocity, glide, etc. seamlessly. You should check it out. Thank you, I will!

The Bombardier EMBRIO Advanced Concept is a one-wheeled recreational and commuting vehicle that promises a whole new experience on the road. Aimed at the 18 to 45 age group, this advanced concept prefigures the kind of user-friendly, minimalist vehicles we might be seeing - and using - on our urban, suburban and country roads in the year 2025. I know what you are thinking...ya can't do a wheelie with that...looks cool though....
