Techno and a cafe. Perfection for productivity as far as I'm concerned. It's mad. Yo.

I consider myself to be a techy-kinda person. However, I think today is my first time online on my own laptop in a cafe. I was headed from the airport and a friend recommended I come to Kiss Cafe. I happened to have my wireless card with me, plugged in and woohoo, I'm online. Hot chocolate AND internet. :)
Work, work, work and then the many mini-movies. Some folks are coming that I sorta-invited, but didn't expect to come and that's going to be funny. They go see blockbusters, so I'm not sure how they'll do with Baltimore's homemade alterne-flicks. We'll see. I'm expecting some good, some bad, some awkward...all in the spirit of good times.
Cute boy on a nearby laptop just smiled with me at the cutest dog going by. Passing-smiles...

I finished 30 minutes ahead of schedule and remembered I wanted to look up that opening band from Friday. It was Donavon. Very cool.
And here are some Jack Johnson lyrics I liked (i couldn't find the one I liked best, darn it) from "wasting time"
i dont pretend to know what you know now please dont pretend to know whats on my mind if we already knew everything that everybody knows we would have nothing to learn tonight and we would have nothing to show tonight
but everybody thinks that everybody knows about everybody else but nobody knows anything about themselves, because theyre all worried about everybody else
love is just a waste of our energy and life is just a waste of our time so why dont we get together and we could waste everything tonight

75% done with one goal and so unfocused for the last, tiny 25%!! must complete so i can take the boy to the airport and then work from the coffee-shop.
don't just say it - do it, Beba!
self-pep-talks. they're important.
i'm hoping this really is the only thing that left that *requires* internet access....
next week at this time i'll be on vacation. yay! oh, and kristen is finally really excited! yay! what else can i cheer about? i'm cheery and [other than the occasional two minute distraction] i'm being productive! yay!

I just got back from some volunteering at an Animal Rescue fundraiser. Have I mentioned I love dogs? I do. I got to spend about half an hour with a St. Bernard while they set-up their booth and, man, I REALLY love them. His name was Tonto. And he was a leaner. I adore leaners. I like when leaners go swimming and then lean on you. heh. Anyway, it was worth early rising. Lots of wonderfulness [and volunteers are also good people to meet and talk with].
Must now work. MUST resist going to Jones Fall Festival. MUST resist going to a coffee shop. MUST resist going to Barnes & Noble. MUST WORK.
Okay, I'm not sure I'm convinced. I'll open the document and see how it goes.
