Wes Iversen, Automation World's managing editor, reported from Pack Expo in Las Vegas that things were really hopping at the show. He said that at opening there were long lines of attendees at the registration tables. I haven't seen that since the 1999 Spring Comdex in Chicago. Lots of controls suppliers. While I was at MESA Conference and Wes was at Pack Expo, the third member of our team, editorial director Jane Gerold, was covering the Assembly Technology, Robot/Vision, and Frontline Expo shows and conferences. Jane reported that robotics were generating a lot of energy. Thought the RFID presentations at Frontline Expo were good.
