Can you pass 8th grade math?

I got 10/10. Of course, that doesn't say anything about the money I wasted on college math. Got the posting from Dave Winer's Scripting News:

I got 9/10 correct on the 8th grade math test. Good thing cause I skipped 8th grade. [Scripting News]

Japan Trip Updated

I had meant to add my Yokogawa note a thought following a conversation with Yokogawa Americas President, Dave Johnson last night. He mentioned how he is building a team with a unified sense of purpose--that of making Yokogawa the number one process systems supplier in the world. This is the vision and drive of corporate CEO Isao Uchida. This is a company focused on winning. I think its competitors, who seem intent on carving up the process market into niches, better put on their track shoes and get going. Things could get interesting in this market--and that should prove to be great for customers.

On the ISA front, got a note from Wes Iversen on his way home after the second day of the Expo. He says exhibitors are singing the old "not much traffic, but those who are here are quality leads" song. Sounds more like a country ballad than hip-hop energy to me.

Japan Trip

I'm in Tokyo today after a long day yesterday capped with dinner with several media types and Yokogawa executives at the Manhattan Place in the Washington hotel. Excellent Japanese/American fusion cuisine. Getting our pallattes prepared for Japanese food today.

Yokogawa is celebrating its 90th birthday with a small trade show and major media event. Supposed to be some product news coming. Don't know if they have wireless here in the Century Hyatt, so I may not be blogging live from this event.

Jane and Wes have not sent me any notes from ISA Expo, so I don't know how it's going there. I've seen precious few annoucements over the Web from the event.
