Major auto parts supplier, Delphi in trouble. This news has been brewing for quite some time. When the US automotive industry was a virtual oligopoly, labor peace was bought and prices passed along to buyers. In a hotly competitive market, that model is no longer sustainable.

Delphi has a major presence in Dayton, Ohio (near where I live). The news is top front page in the Dayton Daily News.

The New York Times found an unfortunate photo in its galley of CEO Miller for this story. With Delphi Filing, Tougher Times for Auto Industry Workers.
