Jon Stewart This was flying around the Internet. I have not confirmed this sources on this, but I thought I'd spread it around anyway: "I want to begin with some kudos to the Supreme Court. Today they ruled it was illegal for states to execute 16 and 17-year-old criminals. Now you will recall three years ago they also deemed it unconstitutional to execute the retarded. Cholera in the time of the Internet... Info from the Centers for Disease Control [posted by Troy] It turns out that Chi-Burns must stay home tonight. I fear that he has a touch of Cholera and will not be able to go out and party for St. Patrick's day. Now, you may think that Cholera is an old 19th century disease that settlers in the Midwest used to get. I have to tell you that I don't know of anyone who has ever had a touch of Cholera, but if anyone was going to get it, it would be the Chicago Burns. Here's a quote from the CDC Web site: "Cholera is an acute, diarrheal illness caused by infection of the intestine with the bacterium Vibrio cholerae. The infection is often mild or without symptoms, but sometimes it can be severe. Approximately one in 20 infected persons has severe disease characterized by profuse watery diarrhea, vomiting, and leg cramps. In these persons, rapid loss of body fluids leads to dehydration and shock. Without treatment, death can occur within hours."
