To the West [posted by Troy]
I am leaving for a conference tomorrow morning, so I won't be able to go to church, and I won't be posting on the blog for a few days. I'll give you an update on my adventures somewhere down the road. In the meantime, you should read the Brewer Blog or The Cave People Blog.

US left Vietnam [posted by Troy]
April 30th, 1975 marked the evacuation of Saigon by US forces, diplomats, and South Vietnamese supporters. There has been some attention given to this in the media, which is good. 30 years ago today marked the end of a long, drawn out conflict that tore apart our nation. Since that time, we countinue to debate the entire conflict. Here are some sites that you might like to see:

Lessons of Vietnam a well out together Christian Science Monitor article about the impact of the Vietnam conflict.
Vietnam: Yesterday and Today A great timeline of US relations with Vietnam.
Back to Saigon from NPR.
Veterans return to Vietnam from ABC news.
