Cap and Gown Time Alan's graduation is coming up next week. The cap and gown ceremony, where they receive their certificates, is Thursday night, and the actual reception and prom is Saturday. Alan really isn't much into all this....all he wants is to get the heck out of school. But he's being a good sport about it, although he is scheming to try to switch the stately grand march music for 'Master of Puppets' by Mettalica!
He's chosen to wear a kilt, so we're on the hunt for a Bonnie Prince Charlie jacket to go with it. Joe's jacket is too small, Alan being almost six inches taller than his dad. We think the local pipeband has a jacket he can wear - the uniform person is checking.
All three of the kids are struggling to get through these last couple of weeks of school. Jamie is going camping with his class for three days this coming week, so that should help. There are exams to get through for the other two. I'm almost as twitchy as the kids - I remember how excruciating this time of year was when I was in school.
