On a whim, I checked my Hotmail account. I have not used it in some time, as it is mainly a receptacle for most of the known world's spam.  I log in periodically just to clear it out and keep the admins at Hotmail happy.  As one of those myself, I know the pain of bloated email accounts.

Lo and behold, I had two messages from friends in my Inbox that were both sent this week.  Both, of course, know of the existence of my Gmail account.  One of them has my work account.  What was funnier is that one was a request to participate in something, and the other was a nice conversational item.  So, to both of them, use one of my other more widely-used accounts, dammit!  ;->

I should expect this, though, considering that I am still getting email on my old account at Maryland.

I am happy to report that after five weeks at the new job, all is returning to normal.  I have located the nearest Starbuck's to my office, so my Friday routine of consuming an espresso-enhanced beverage has returned.

So what if I am beholden to my corporate master?  I like my espresso drinks.  As Frank the Tank said so eloquently: "It's so good! Once it hit's your lips, It's so good!"

Thanks for giving me the card to force me to make the venture, Fool.

My grandfather stayed overnight at my place in Baltimore, as he had to wait to catch his return flight to Ocean City.  (Simmons Air just began service between Baltimore and Ocean City, and the flight only takes 30 minutes!)  He was returning from his Navy reunion for the vessel he served the longest on, the USS Oriskany.  It was in Evansville, Indiana, of all places.

I took him to dinner at Regi's American Bistro in Federal Hill, then we had a couple of beers following dinner at Sean Bolan's.  While there, I introduced my grandfather to the beauty that is Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA.  He had a good time, and I am glad he did.  He rarely comes up to Baltimore anymore, so it is always nice to share some time with him.
