- Yankees suck! Nice to see that the Curse of the Moose has prevented the Yankees from advancing to the ALCS this year. I am cheering the Cards
on this year, though. Best team in baseball, and they are the
hometown team for one of my best friends. Besides, much like my
beloved O's, they are a bird, so I am not straying too far from my
baseball team. Besides, I detest the White Sox--mainly because I
hate Ozzie Guillen from his playing days. Anyone remember when he won the AL Gold Glove at shortstop in 1990, robbing Cal Ripken, who had committed only 3 errors and had a .996 fielding percentage?
- By the way, no more Jim Beattie for the O's.
I do not think it will make much of a difference. Peter the
Swarthy Greek Owner still has his mitts in the operation too much for
the losing streak to end.
- Steelers suck! The Ravens are not doing much better, but at
least the Steelers will be brought down to earth with Charlie Batch
starting next week.
- I cannot believe how quick this day has flown by. It is
almost 12:30 PM, and I have been doing a variety of tasks that had to
get done this morning at the office:
- updated licenses for Windows Small Business Server 2003;
- obtained licenses for Office 2003 Standard Edition;
- confirm the purchase of some new hardware for new and existing employees;
- begin looking into the installation and configuration of ACT!;
- unbox some additional software purchases;
- coordinate a site visit with some of our staff to ensure they
are familiar with our time-reporting application following what
happened at the close of our last pay period.
- I need to purchase my friends' wedding gift in the next day, and
I need to remember to get them a wedding card before I get out of
Baltimore.
- Additionally, I need to get a haircut and take care of some other things before leaving on Friday for the wedding.
- Finally, it looks like I am going to continue my quest to play
the sports I once played as a kid. Last Fall, I played
kickball. It looks like I will be playing dodgeball this
fall. This guy
asked me to play on his team, and I have agreed to do so. Last
year, I embarrassed myself playing kickball, so why not continue the
embarrassment with dodgeball this year.
