Lately, I have had problems putting the Daily Source Code podcasts onto my Dell DJ. Of the last four podcasts, I have only been able to place on onto my DJ.
I use the Dell Driver, but I manage my MP3 player using Deubox Explorer--a
vast improvement over the bundled MusicMatch software that came with
the player. Well, until recently, I have never had a problem
syncing the podcast to my player. I first noticed the problem
last week when I thought the player was going to die. Well, I
used it on my trip to Utica, and I had no problem at all. I am
also able to put my other podcasts onto it--Geek News Central, In the Trenches, Morning Coffeenotes, and the occasional Mashuptown.com track.
According to the Deubox OmniTome, the problem is caused by the Dell Driver error encountering what it believes to be a corrupt file. Of course, the file plays perfectly fine in Winamp.
I am at a loss to what the problem might be, but I am missing getting
my DSC on my MP3 player for my gym trips. I presume the problem
must be with something within the file, and it seems to coincide with
the new hardware Adam acquired (although he is using the same method as
before).
Looks like I might be made to get an iPod after all, but this time not for a hardware failure as I had originally feared.
